ABOUT

“From this ignoramus, spelling out signs, to the scientist who constructs hypotheses, the same intelligence is always at work – an intelligence that translates signs into other signs and proceeds by comparisons and illustrations in order to communicate its intellectual adventures and understand what another intelligence is endeavouring to communicate to it.

This poetic labour of translation is at the heart of all learning. (…)”

Jacques Rancière // translated by Gregory Elliott

Interdisciplinary Designer | Manager

BID – Industrial Design @Middle East Technical University

MA – Open Design @Humboldt University of Berlin / @University of Buenos Aires

I am a highly versatile designer/manager with expertise in bridging science, design, and strategy to craft out-of-the-box solutions across industries. I work at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and teamwork, delivering solutions that connect disciplines to drive meaningful and sustainable impact.

Brand Strategy & Identity: Worked as a Project Identity Designer for EU projects, ensuring seamless brand implementation. Led a team of five for four years, delivering strategic branding services to prominent companies like Birikim Engineering and BAS Industrial, as well as numerous startups in Ankara.

Project Management: Assembled, led and mentored a team of five—including developers, an animator, and a VFX designer—over four years to deliver impactful identities, user flows, pr materials and digital tools for more than 30 companies; Successfully managed B2B relations, stakeholders, project planning and execution, while providing career guidance to the team.

Interdisciplinary Work: Earned a dual master’s degree in Open Design (HU/UBA), specializing in collaborative research. Partnered with the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces to explore innovative biomaterial design.

Material and System Design: Deeply interested in system design and material design which are two frames of analog design, macro and micro respectively. This approach includes growing materials such as mycelium and algae, experimenting on conventional sustainable materials such as wood and metal, as well as pondering on sustainability and interrelation of things in design and production processes.

I performed as a product designer in different industries such as aviation and domestic appliances between 2015-2017. I have also taken part in social development projects and served as a CI designer and project manager untill 2021.

Collaborative artistic projects and inter-semiotic translation of ideas were always my passion, therefore, I designed many 2D covers of the projects, stories, podcasts as a free time activity. Please also find my detailed 2D portfolio on behance to dive in the dreamland figures of stories.
